Week 5 - Day 4

Cardio X
Elliptical-burned 350 calories

I was supposed to do Yoga X today but as I mentioned before I hate it and prefer to do something high impact in its place. Today I chose Cardio X and it was a good workout. So far it's my favorite. I was a little stressed out earlier and got so busy that I forgot to eat breakfast. Thank goodness I had my morning snack though (1/2 Larabar) so I guess I can count that as a full breakfast...not. I'm about to head over to the trail for a minute to at least get one lap in before the sun goes all the way down. Hope everyone had a wonderful day!

xoxo

Lunch: banana protein smoothie
Dinner: 2 shrimp tacos (10 shrimp, 2 white corn tortillas,2 tablespoons pico de gallo and cilantro) 1 tbspn evoo

Week 4 - Day 5

Core Synergistics
Elliptical- 650 cals burned

Last night I had a long hot lavender bath and to my surprise began to fall asleep in the tub. Needless to say I went to bed at a much earlier time than usual. I fought hard to stay awake to watch Andrew Zimmerman but quickly lost the battle. Good thing that I did too because I got in a full 8 hrs of sleep and woke up so refreshed and full of energy. I took my vitamins and ate the other half of the apple pie Larabar as I looked over my duties for the day. I didn't get to do any exercises in the morning but when I got ready to go walking/running it started to rain...alot. I went on to do the Core video and then burned 650 calories on the elliptical. When I miss a workout I feel like I have to up the calorie burn on the elliptical. Sadly this was all that I could get out. I'm going to bed early tonight so that Sashi and I can hit the trail bright and early tomorrow. I'm going for 2 hrs of outdoor exercise but we shall see.  Headed to the store to get some more Larabars. I took my time savoring and tasting that thing this morning and I have to say it was good.

Breakfast: 1 banana, strawberry, honey & Greek yogurt crepe, 1 cup of cantaloupe
Lunch: 1/2 cup brown rice, 1/4 cup black beans, (7) R.W. Garcia veggie chips
Dinner:  1 stuffed crepe (1 cup spinach, 4 oz chicken chopped, 5 mushrooms chopped, 1 cup of onions, 1 slice Publix 2% swiss cheese.
Snacks: 2 tbspn PB2, half apple pie larabar, 1 appleberry Vitatop

Week 4 - Day 4

XStretch
Elliptical- 450 calories burned
Walk/Run/Bike Ride- 1 hr

I read a few blogs last night trying to get an idea as to how others are, well... acquiring and maintaining all of their energy.  I came across a few where people were eating energy bars. Several were drinking coffee and some with just a good ole breakfast. I also found an article on line here that provided a list of "high octane" foods to give you a boost. A few of those foods I already had so I decided to incorporate as many as I could in my meals today. I was surprised to see cantaloupe on there. I can eat bowls of that all day and I had run out. I woke up at 6 am this morning so that I could have time to run to the store to pick up some items, make breakfast and get in a quick 30 min walk with Sashi. As soon as I returned and pulled into my driveway *ding* it hit me....I had taken my hse key off of the key ring and placed it in the pocket of my sweats yesterday when I went to walk. Grrrr...I could only be mad at myself. I waited for an hour and a half  for someone to come over to let me in.
Time flew by though. I had a chance to read my entire Clean Eating mag and I snacked on half of an apple pie Larabar I had purchased. It was very sweet and high in calories. I prayed that it would give me the energy that I needed. Maybe I should have eaten the whole bar?
Once again my energy boost didn't kick in until this evening and I knocked out all of my exercise goals for today. When I headed out the door and down the street for my bike ride, I overheard a neighbor across the street say that me on my bike was the funniest thing she's ever seen, but I didn't hear her laughing. My evil side wanted to reply "well gee I bet it is, and you're the funniest thing I've ever seen" but, instead I just hopped on my bike and rode on happily about my business. I never can understand why people make negative comments or put others down for something good that they're trying to do for themselves. Especially when this lady should be out exercising with me. Smh on that one. Never let anyone come between you and your goals with negative comments, or stares. Just give them the finger, any finger, and keep on pushing! Tomorrow I'm wearing my t-shirt that says bite me.

Week 4 - Day 3

KenpoX
Elliptical - 30 mins
Bike ride- 1 hr

For some reason I am finding it more and more harder to begin my walk in the morning. I mean the energy is not there at all like it was last week. I have been having less energy during my workouts as well. It frustrates me because I don't know what it is and what to do about it. I convince myself that once I eat breakfast and have my protein smoothie that will give me the energy that I need to burn but sadly no. My friend suggested drinking coffee but I am not a coffee drinker. *sigh* I'll be scanning a many blogs tonite to check out what others are doing to get their energy up/going.

Breakfast: 2 egg white omelet & 2 pcs turkey bacon on Ezekiel sesame bread - 1/2 cp protein smoothie
Lunch: chicken salad sammie & 1 cup of watermelon
Dinner: 2 shrimp tacos with salsa & black beans on brown rice
Snack: 1/3 cup energy trail mix, 1 Edy's fruit bar, 4 Keebler club crackers, 1 wedge laughing cow swiss cheese
