Week 9- Day 2

CardioX
Walk/Run- 1 hr

Woke up bright and early at the crack of dawn ready to hit the pavement for my walk/run and guess who was waiting downstairs....

Wow. I couldn't believe she was up so early and eating blue candy that turned her teeth and lips blue. I had to snap this photo and send to my mom and brother because normally MM doesn't open her eyes until after noon.
She rode her bike, snapped photos, and had me cracking up with her numerous jokes while I walked and ran. Great company, thanks MM. :)

Glad I now know what I look like from the back. *Note to self- cover back next time. lol

Breakfast: crepes with raspberries, blackberries and fat free redi whip, 2 egg white omelet, 1 Morningstar veggie sausage on 1 Thomas whole wheat english muffin

Lunch: 1/2 pk oriental Ramen noodles with tofu

Dinner: *no pic* leftovers: 1/2 pc of fish, sweet potato fries and 1/2 serving of Bush's black bean fiesta (which I may never buy again, I'll stick with Bush's reduced sodium black beans when I'm rushed to grab canned goods)

Dessert: 1 Holey Donut 100 calorie bun

Week 8- Day 3

KenpoX
Bike Ride- 1 hr
Elliptical- burned 700 calories

*excert* from Q&A book:
It takes approximately 50 calories to raise the temperature of 8 ounces of ice-cold water to body temperature. If you drink eight to ten cold cups of water each day, you'll burn an extra 400-500 calories.

Hmm..I thought that was rather interesting.

Woke up to find that mini me has taken my favorite pair of Pelle Modas to a friends house. What!?! Grrr....  I felt obliged to grab a pair of one of her beloved, and precious most favorite sneakers since I only own 1 pair. That's only fair right? Right!
And they match my bike. Sweet!  This one's for you MM!

Today I rode my bike farther than I have ever ridden and tried to stay at a certain speed to keep my heart rate up. Whew, I really worked up a sweat out in the heat and some hunger pains too. I rode on a main rode and passed Krystal's twice. I wanted a scrambler so bad it wasn't even funny! I'm not one to care about eating hot foods in the Summer. None of that matters to me. Hunger pains started to kick in because I didn't eat a pre ride snack.  I finally decided to ride up to the drive thru window to ask for a nutritional guide. I was advised that they had run out but the girl was more than willing to look online for the info that I wanted (it pays to be nice). I told her all I wanted was the info for the original scrambler. She walked away and came back to the window with the information written down for me. Thank goodness they weren't busy because I'm sure I wouldn't have received such awesome service. 420 calories! That was too much for me for breakfast and I had the rest of the day to count for! I thanked her and rode off into the sunset.
When i got home I decided to make my own scrambler  .

Krystal's Original Scrambler  *pic source*

Breakfast: my scrambler (1 Morningstar veggie sausage, 1 scrambled egg white, 1/4 cup Weight Watchers shredded cheese, 1/8 Quaker grits)
 205 calories

Lunch: 1 slice leftover pizza & 1 deep chocolate vitamuffin
 boring photo I know....

Dinner: 1 Morningstar veggie riblet, 1/2 cup UB whole grain rice, 1/2 cup peas, 1 piece Garlic Naan (not pictured) because I ate it before my food was plated...so so good.

Snack: 1 pk 100 calorie Cheez Its, 7 R.W. Garcia veggie chips

Hope everyone had a great day!

Week 6- Day 5

Legs & Back, AbRipperX
Elliptical- burned 800 calories

I finally agreed to go out for drinks with some of my associates tonight. Even though I don't plan on eating or drinking any alcohol. My friend asked why not and I explained that I have already eaten for the day. She says at least I can get some nachos or something. I forgot that they haven't seen me for a while so they don't know the details of my journey. I have only shared my blog with 3 people in my life. Sometimes it's easier to share with strangers than with people that you know, if that makes any sense at all. I only announced to them that I was going to stop smoking cigarettes, start exercising, eating right, and stop going out for a while. The "me" before this journey wouldn't have cared a bit that I had just eaten dinner. I would have gone to the restaurant to eat again as well as consume 4 or 5 sweet mixed drinks and wine. I always ordered more than one entree whenever I couldn't decide what i wanted....just greedy.  I hope I will remain strong and stick to my guns tonight.

Breakfast: 1 morningstar veggie sausage patty, 2 egg white omelet with spinach on 1 Thomas whole wheat English muffin

Lunch: blueberry & banana protein smoothie with a few blue chips

Dinner: REPEAT! Told ya I would be having this again, and it was just as good. Added leftover corn on the cob

Hope everyone has a good nite!

Week 6- Day 4

CardioX
Walk/Jog- 30 minutes
Elliptical- burned 400 calories

What fat looks like.

I have to tell you it was hot as Haitis at 7 am this morning. Sashi wouldn't even deal with the heat and left me hanging. I told her that we were going for a walk and she got all excited and raced to the door. When I opened it she ran out, turned back around in mid closing, ran to the top of the stairs and just laid there staring down at me. I called to her twice and she wouldn't move. Oh well. I hit the trail alone and by mid way I was wishing I had taken Sashi's silent advice. That sun was beaming. Tomorrow I'm definitely trying for an earlier time but dang. I'm just sayin...

Breakfast- 2 slices Jennie-O Extra lean turkey bacon, 2 egg white omelet w/spinach & 1/2 a grapefruit
218 calories

Lunch- my usual frothy goodness- strawberry banana protein smoothie
294 calories

Dinner- 1 Morningstar Veggie Italian Sausage, 1 Natures Own 100% Whole Wheat hot dog bun, topped with red peppers, onions and my special sauce, & (8) Alexia Oven Red Potatoes
427 calories
I might be having this meal again tomorrow it was that good.

Snacks: 1 Kiwi, 1 Deep Chocolate Vitamuffin

                                                   chocolaty goodness

Week 4 - Day 2

Core Synergistics
Elliptical- burned 250 calories

I talked myself out of my walk/run/bicycle ride this morning and promised myself that i would go in the evening. The evening came quick and I talked myself into going in the am. I am definitely going in the am. Core Synergistics was hard but I did the best that I could. Although it felt good to do something new. That is the best thing that I like about P90X, there is a mixture of many things. My shins and calves are less sore yay!
Earlier while out running errands I stopped by an associates home for a quick check in. She was laid off and was pretty down about it when I had spoken with her over the phone. Well some calls can be deceiving because she was pretty much in a great mood when I saw her today. She was in the middle of whipping up some pomegranate  martinis and offered me one in what looked like a fish bowl. I was so tempted and wanted one so bad but I am not ready to indulge just yet. 1 will become 2 and 2 would more than likely end up becoming 3.
:)

Breakfast: Morningstar veggie sausage, 2 egg white omelet, 1 Thomas whole wheat english muffin, 8 grapes
Lunch: Dannon vanilla greek yogurt, 2 squares Kashi cinnamon cereal crumbled, 1 apple, 1 peach, 1/2 cup cherries
Dinner: 10 sauteed shrimp and veggies (spinach, yellow & red peppers), 1/2 cup quinoa
Snacks: 1/2 square Bakers semi sweet chocolate, 4 Keebler club crackers, 1 wedge Laughing Cow swiss cheese, 1/2 cup O.S 100% unsweetened cranberry juice

On another note......Sashi is definitely an aficionado of TOFURKEY!!  Ewww...
Since first giving it to her on Sunday morning, she has been on strike and will not touch her regular dog food!

I finally gave in and chopped a half piece into smaller chunks.

She is jumping up and down at this point. Lol.

At the end of the day I peek over and she still hasn't touched her regular food. Wow.

Hope everyone is doing well with their eating and exercising.  xoxo
