Plyometrics
Run/Walk/Bike Ride- 1 hr 45 mins
Elliptical- 300 cals burned
My goal was to do 2 hrs of outside exercise today but when the sun came from behind the clouds I knew I was done after an hr and 45 mins. I understand now why so many are attached to the Larabars. I think they really do energize you. I didn't wake up energized but after I ate half I was amped and ready to go! When we hit the trail there was only 1 person out. A very pretty and FIT young lady with teeny shorts and a teeny tank top and she was running her butt off! She ran circles around me and Sashi several times. I would've hi-fived her she really motivated me to move faster. All I kept thinking was "one day that will be me". Not the teeny shorts and tank top but the continuous running. I'm thinking of purchasing a tread mill so that I can practice but I have to see if I can fit that into my budget. I won a super nice one 3 yrs ago and gave it away...I could kick myself. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
Breakfast: 1 crepe (3 egg whites scrambled with spinach & onions and 1 Morningstar veggie sausage patty
Lunch: 1 turkey sammie with spring mix lettuce and spinach, 1 kiwi, & 8 grapes
Dinner: 9 shrimp sauteed with onions, spinach, yellow & red peppers and tbspn Pad Thai sauce with 1/2 cup of quinoa
Snack: 7 R.W. Garcia Thai spic chips, PB2, 1 triple chocolate vitatop, 1/2 cup O.S unsweetened cranberry juice.
My last crepe! :(

Week 4 - Day 5
Core Synergistics
Elliptical- 650 cals burned
Last night I had a long hot lavender bath and to my surprise began to fall asleep in the tub. Needless to say I went to bed at a much earlier time than usual. I fought hard to stay awake to watch Andrew Zimmerman but quickly lost the battle. Good thing that I did too because I got in a full 8 hrs of sleep and woke up so refreshed and full of energy. I took my vitamins and ate the other half of the apple pie Larabar as I looked over my duties for the day. I didn't get to do any exercises in the morning but when I got ready to go walking/running it started to rain...alot. I went on to do the Core video and then burned 650 calories on the elliptical. When I miss a workout I feel like I have to up the calorie burn on the elliptical. Sadly this was all that I could get out. I'm going to bed early tonight so that Sashi and I can hit the trail bright and early tomorrow. I'm going for 2 hrs of outdoor exercise but we shall see. Headed to the store to get some more Larabars. I took my time savoring and tasting that thing this morning and I have to say it was good.
Breakfast: 1 banana, strawberry, honey & Greek yogurt crepe, 1 cup of cantaloupe
Lunch: 1/2 cup brown rice, 1/4 cup black beans, (7) R.W. Garcia veggie chips
Dinner: 1 stuffed crepe (1 cup spinach, 4 oz chicken chopped, 5 mushrooms chopped, 1 cup of onions, 1 slice Publix 2% swiss cheese.
Snacks: 2 tbspn PB2, half apple pie larabar, 1 appleberry Vitatop
Breakfast:

Week 3- Day 5
Legs & Back, AbRipper X
Walk and Run combo- 1 hr
Bike Riding- 1 hr
Elliptical- burned 250 calories
Sashi and I headed out to the trail bright and early again this morning for our walk and run or "wun" as I now call it. We see the ducks every morning and everybody minds their own business. They're usually in the water or very close to it and of course we are only on the trail. Well this morning one particular duck decided to try to chase after Sashi and I as we rounded the corner. I couldn't believe it. Since when did ducks start hissing? Now in her mind Sashi is a pitbull when it comes to protecting mommy, but this took both of us by such surprise that we both nearly jumped out of our skin. Sashi almost ran into a tree. You better believe I was running at that point. I thought about that my entire wun. Why did he/she do that and we were not even bothering or near it. I mean this bastard came from the edge of the water running after us. I was mad.
After my wun, I went home to grab a snack and some water. Mini me came downstairs surprisingly wide-eyed awake and dressed, ready to go. Where?? She wanted to go for a bike ride on the trail. "Dude we were just attacked by some friggen grouchy duck I am not going back over there". Mini me thought this was so funny and that I was over exaggerating. Also ya gotta understand, she watches animal planet all day everyday and is always reading books on animals so she wants to investigate. She claims we must have been near a baby or nest or something and I'm telling her all I saw was this sucker coming at us. No babies. Oh yeah and hissing. I had to prove her wrong so I agreed and we headed out to the trail on our bikes. As soon as we rounded the trail that same sucker came after "me" AGAIN running and hissing. Mini me fell off of her bike laughing so hard. She had stopped a ways behind me. She pointed out that there were two baby ducks in the grass and the mom/dad was protecting them. Okay dude but I was nowhere near your precious babies and you need to get them a little closer to the water. I'm just sayin....
The bike ride was so fun so I've decided to incorporate it into my daily workouts before my bike starts to rust.
After my wun and bike ride my legs were on fire! I could barely do the legs & back video but I am so determined to shed these lbs I persevered. I have one friend who told me today that he thinks I am doing too much. My reply: "sorry my friend but you and no one else will discourage me from this journey unless you have MD behind your name." Besides...you didn't tell me that I was doing too much when you watched me scarf down a whole three meat pizza and 3 beers that time at Mellow Mushroom now did ya?
I'm pooped..until tomorrow where I'll do it all over again =).
Breakfast: 1/2 cup protein smoothie
Lunch: bowl of fruit (1 cup watermelon, 1 cup honey dew melon, 1 cup cantaloupe, a few cherries), 1 apple berry vitatop, 1 boiled egg white only
Dinner: leftovers- crawfish and imitation crab mix, 4 oz tilapia, 1 mini ear of corn
Snacks: 11 snack factory deli crisps, 1 triple chocolate vitatop, 1 Edy's fruit bar lime

Week 3- Day 4
Plyometrics
Elliptical: 550 calories burned
Power walk & jog: 1 hr
So I got my walk in bright and early this morning before the sun came all the way out. It felt great outside. A nice breeze was blowing away the sweat ahh I loved it. I get in my zone when I have my music playing in my ears. I'm running further each day. I set a goal to make it to the bush that's a little far ahead of me and once I start going i won't allow myself to stop until I'm there. I don't speak out loud but my mouth is moving and I'm telling myself that I can do it. Once I reach that goal, I begin to walk again for a minute, then set another. I was very happy with my workout today. When I returned home I just couldn't bare to do the YogaX video. I stared at it for about 10 minutes before I decided no way. I do enjoy yoga but this is a different kind. Very hard, and way too boring and LONG. I just don't get it. I will have to find another yoga video to do in place of that one. Since I had so much energy I decided to do Plyometrics again. I do love that workout. When I began chronicling my journey I had no idea there were so many blogs out here with people doing the same. I am blown away everyday and have to pull myself away from blog reading to get some work done. I'm learning a ton of new things and recipes HOW I LOVE THOSE. This is my first time losing weight this way-naturally. I had always relied on weight loss pills so I need all of the info that I can acquire. I had a great day and hope everyone elses day was just as great or greater. =)
Breakfast: 1/2 cup protein smoothie, 1 banana nut vitatop
Lunch: 1 bowl of melons with a cherry on top (1 cup watermelon, 1 cup honey dew melon & 1 cup cantaloupe)
Dinner: 4 oz sirloin, 9 brussel sprouts, 1/2 cup quinoa, 1 triple chocolate chunk vitatop
Snacks: 1 pk 100 calorie Emerald almonds, 1/2 cup Ocean Spray 100% unsweetened cranberry juice
Elliptical: 550 calories burned

Week 1- Day 6
Who knew there were so many great blogs floating around out there. I've stumbled across alot of cool ones and gained inspiration.
Legs & Back
Since I missed my workout yesterday, today I picked right up where i left off . The legs video was pretty decent compared to the others. The only parts I struggle on are the chin ups.So exercising will be fine for me now that I'm getting the hang of it. Now I need to get the eating part down packed. Eating usually works one of two ways for me. I either miss one or two meals and eat alot when I do catch up OR I eat foods that are rich and super high in calories. My goal is to try to eat those 6 small meals throughout the day so I won't starve. I love love love LOVVVEEE sweets so if I can find something to satisfy my sweet craving then this ball will REALLY get goin.
Breakfast: Greek yogurt & berries
Lunch: Quinoa Spaghetti with ground turkey meat sauce
Dinner: grilled flounder & lftovr steamed broccoli
Snacks: 11 Snack Factory Deli Crisps, 1 slice Amy's Organic Choc cake
I ordered this from Vitacost a week ago and couldn't wait to try it out.
Found this sauce at Wally World last night. I used half of it. Until I learn to make my own this will suffice.
Mixed seasoning, onions, mushrooms, & green peppers in with the ground turkey.
I wasn't hungry at first but now I'm ready to eat it out of the pan as is.
Finished product plated
Decided to go with fruit on the side
My biggest critic gave it a thumbs up...
Okay she thoroughly enjoyed it. I swear I was only away for 5 mins..
I was still full from lunch but I know I had to eat dinner to get enough calories in. I wanted something super simple so I seasoned a piece of flounder and heated up the foreman. Had leftover broccoli on the side. I couldn't even eat half of it. I am craving a dessert soooo bad.
Going to bed earlier than usual tonight. I have a baby shower to attend tomorrow. I have to be sure to get up on time to eat MY breakfast and lunch! I don't want to show up hungry and have to FORCE (yeah right) myself to consume the goodies that will be on display.
