Week 6- Day 2

CardioX
Walk/Jog- 30 minutes
Elliptical- burned 600 calories

I went to bed at a reasonable time last night and popped up at exactly 6:30 am. I showered, threw on my sweats and headed to the trail. The sun was already beaming down and I could feel the heat rising. Regardless I pushed on and power walked and jogged for 30 minutes with sweat pouring. It felt great to be out there and I was glad others had joined me. Not many though since it has gotten so hot here in GA but it was nice to see and wave to a few of the regulars.
This evening I headed to Wal-Mart on a tip that they sold fresh brown eggs. Well lo and behold...
Saved me a trip across town.

Breakfast: 2 egg white omelet w/spinach, 1 Morningstar veggie sausage, 1 Thomas whole wheat English muffin & 1/2 grapefruit
Lunch: strawberry & banana protein smoothie
Dinner: 1 grilled chicken, Alexia Roasted potatoes & veggies,  brussel sprouts
Snacks: 1 deep chocolate Vitamuffin, 1/2 Larabar, 1/2 cup Ocean Spray unsweetened juice

                                                                  frothy goodness

Hope everyone had a great day!
xoxo

  1. Good for you for getting out there so early!! It is so hot and humid out, I don't know how you do it. I was excited b/c tomorrow is my day off and I was planning on going to the pool but just saw on the news it's supposed to be 87 by 10A--eek!

  2. I admire you for battling that heat. You are very inspiring for someone like me living in San Diego with weather 70 degrees year around. I have no excuses for not working out. Thank you!

You go with your organic eggs. That is the first step so high-five for you.

Enjoy your day and keep inspiring.

  4. It's hot here in VA too. I have found that Walmart has a nice selction of organic foods. They are starting to get a lot more variety and of course, it's cheaper than Whole Foods or the organic grocery stores. I always check Walmart first now when I'm looking for something organic. Looks like you had another great day of eating and working out! Great job!
